There’s a courageous warrior inside all of us. And it’s my mission to help your employees discover – and unleash – theirs.

My name is Catherine Kerr. As a Corporate Warrior Coach, I empower companies to inspire their employees and up-level their performance through courageous keynote speeches and in-depth warrior workshops. I also offer follow-up “boot camps” and coaching support for leaders, employees and teams to reinforce key skills/concepts. 

I work mostly with sales organizations in the financial services industry – asset and wealth management specifically – however, my message and approach are adaptable to all industries and are applicable to any workplace team, including service teams. (In fact, companies that offer courageous conversation skills training to both service and sales create greater alignment and consistency and produce the best results!)  My style is (deliberately) disruptive; my goal is to challenge and provoke people to think – and act – differently to propel radical, sustained shifts in behaviour that deliver tangible results.

My Story

Fifteen years of training as a recreational boxer inspired me to explore how warrior characteristics could be applied to the corporate world. Stepping into the ring allowed me to experience several key benefits, including increased confidence, energy, resilience and a firm belief that the only limitations in life are the ones we put on ourselves. My coaches taught me that high performance is a mindset: “Don’t worry about what your opponent is bringing into the ring. Focus on what YOU are bringing!”.

I approach my life like I did my sport, with intense focus, radical discipline and unwavering commitment. My passion for boxing led me to create a “Warrior Development Plan,” which leverages global warrior concepts, critical sales skills, and extensive research into creating and sustaining a high-performance culture.

I’ve spent most of my career inspiring and educating sales professionals and leaders from around the world in a broad range of industries, including Financial Services, Investment Banking, Pharmaceutical, Telecommunications, Insurance, Travel, Manufacturing, IT, Retail, and Professional Services. Prior to that, I was a tenacious hunter of sales myself, having sold a variety of products and successfully operated several business ventures. 

I trained as a professional stage actress at the Vancouver Playhouse Theatre Company. The skills that I learned as a performer have given me the ability to engage and hold the attention of my audience. After several years of touring and performing, I returned to the University of Toronto and completed a master’s degree in Education with a specialty in Counselling Psychology (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy). One of the highlights of my career has been the opportunity to coach Olympic Athletes on the power of mindset. Working with gold medal athletes expanded and deepened my understanding of high performance.

I draw on my diverse experience, eclectic background, and my personal/professional knowledge of high performance, to provide dynamic,  high-energy keynote speeches and practical experiential workshops that challenge, engage and inspire  employees to better connect with  and serve their  customers/clients, stand out from the crowd, conquer challenges, add greater value and ultimately drive revenue.
